Tilly - The little dog behind Tilly’s Tails
All about Tilly
Tilly was a one in a million little dog. She was a rescue who came to us at 6 years old after having given birth to 4 litters of puppies. She was loving but very anxious and had separation anxiety. She was the gentlest, sweetest of dogs.
We were blessed to have another 9 years with her, during which we took her on many adventures. She went to London, on the Thames clipper boat, the cable car, and went to see Buckingham Palace and the horse guards.
We took her on pleasure boats, rowing boats, to see Santa, did an Easter egg hunt each year and watched car racing at Goodwood.
Tilly came on all our holidays and of course, slept in our bed.
Tilly developed cancer, aged 10 and had some major operations. She then later became blind in one eye and deaf. In the following years she developed Mitral Valve Heart Disease. Despite this, she was the absolute, happiest little dog and always greeted us with a waggy tail and sweet expression, even when we had just been out of the room for only two minutes.
Both Tilly and our previous dogs had seizures. We have been blessed that all our dogs have lived into their late teens. This means that we have a lot of experience of senior dogs, and dogs with anxiety and health issues.
Since losing our beautiful Tilly, we have a lot of time and love to share and we would like to give that to other dogs, so we hope to see you soon.
